A couple of weeks ago I had a fabulous time taking pictures of this little one and his birthday cake (http://averyjamesphotography.blogspot.com/search/label/Jace), and this morning I had the pleasure of photographing him again, along with some of his beautiful, extended family.
I wanted to share some of my favorites from today. Great family and some beautiful kids. :) :)
I'm putting both versions here because she likes black and white, but I really liked the color version...so I wanted to share both. :)

Wow, first off I would like to compliment your ability to take such an aesthetically pleasing photo of such a large family. Having worked at Sears Portrait Studio for a summer, I can recognize a well-set up portrait when I see it. Do you have some sort of studio experience? I wouldn't be surprised. Large groups of people were always daunting to me (and still are!) because of how they need to be arranged for it to look good. And yours, look great.
Secondly, I think you did a great job of evoking real smiles, another difficult task.
Really great portraits :)
Thank you so much for your kind words Jess! :)
I don't have any studio experience actually, but thank you all the same! I completely understand the intimidation feeling of photographing large groups...this was my first of this size and I wasn't completely sure how I was going to do it until they were all standing in front of me! Thankfully they're people I know and so I didn't feel as pressured as I would have had they been strangers. :)
Thank you again, and thank you for following my blog! :)
