Ethan's headshots

WOW...wow.  August 16 was my last blog post, and it wasn't even a photography related post.  Hi, my name is Slacker.  I've lost my head over the last couple of months and barely know what day it is today.

I'm here now though, and I have a TON of blog posts to catch up on.  I'll try to space them out where I can.  For today, I've got some pics of an absolutely adorable little boy to share.  His new agency loves his look (what look would that be you ask?  Well, just-want-to-pinch-your-cheeks cute of course!) and needed some good-looking headshots of a good-looking boy so that they can get his face out there and in America's face. :)  Avery James Photography to the rescue! :)

Sorry, I'm in a silly, tired, just-getting-back-from-vacation kind of mood. :) :)  Anyways.  Here's Ethan's pictures - ssuuuuuper cute! :)

Headshots for Caydan

I realized that I never posted these pics to my blog, and I don't think I even put them on my Facebook fan page yet either....

A couple weeks ago I took some headshots of my adorable little boy...I told him that if he wanted to model for magazines and stuff, he'd make money and he could buy some toys....he was sold from that point on, which really helped me to be able to get some great expressions from him when I took the pics! :)

So here are the final images we came out with that I put on his comp card...now I just need to get my butt in gear and print them so I can send them out!! :)

To retouch, or not to retouch?

I was doing some photo retouching for a client's headshots as their agent requested it, so I figured I'd share the results here for everyone to see an example of what retouching can do.

Photo retouching isn't for everyone...it can sometimes leave one looking unnatural or unlike themselves....but sometimes just a little touch-up to soften shadows, or enhance colors, can help to beautify the final image.

Below are some before and after samples that I just finished up...if you are interested in retouching your photos, the cost ranges from $5 - $10 per photo depending on how in depth the retouching needs to be.

Here's more of Seth's headshots. Great looking kid - I'm wishing him the best of success in whatever he decides to do with his future. :)

Robin K. headshots

I met up with an extremely photogenic and beautiful woman today who is a reporter on El Segundo's city cable television station. She's getting ready to launch her website and wanted some pictures to put up...so this is what we worked on doing today. :)
Below are some of my favorites...great looking models make my job that much easier. :)

Michael - headshots (continued)

I love these headshots of Michael. He definitely has that model look (although I believe he's more interested in acting vs modeling) and looks great in pictures...killer smile. :) He's very good at changing his facial expressions and took direction excellently during the shoot. :) Below are all of my favorites from the session :)

Cameron (continued)

A few more of my favorites from Cameron's 2nd set of headshots. I just heard through the grapevine that he scored a couple more parts in some television shows! I'm so excited for him and I hope his career continues to soar. :)
